Alan Lomax-The Spanish Recordings: Galicia - 2001 - Rounder Records CDROUN1761
Galicia Songs for beating flax and cutting stones, wickedly barbed song duels, village pilgrimage songs,
and popular dance tunes can be heard on this recording made in remote villages of Galicia during the
raw, cold winter of 1952. Alan Lomax made these historic recordings during the Franco regime. These
songs and dance melodies constitute a portrait of rural Spain's richly varied musical life, dispelling
the common stereotypes of Spanish folk music.

Impressions of A Pilgrimage
Dick Le Mair
Just released. This is one of the very, very, few recordings that feature the organ in the
Cathedral of Santiago. According to the liner notes it is one of only two. It is a beautiful
blend of modern and traditional pieces. The listener is transported across the camino and finds
themselves traveling with pilgrims of all the ages. It is well worth a listen.
Conducted by Dick Le Mair
Organist Aart Bergwerff

Oliver Schroer: Camino
(Big Dog Music, 2006)
Solo Violin and Ambient Recordings from the Camino de Santiago ‑ the musical and photographic record of a thousand kilometre trek along the Camino de Santiago. Photos by Peter Coffman
Camino brings together the best of these recordings. Oliver's violin sings in these magnificent Romanesque churches, and the sense of place is strong ‑ pilgrims praying, children playing, birds, bells, footsteps, passing snatches of conversation, and the voices of the buildings themselves.
Oliver Schroer: Camino ‑ a sumptuous package featuring a 28 page booklet of Peter Coffman's stunning B/W photographs with text in four languages by Peter and Oliver.
